More Autumn Highlights...

Good times in the leaves...

...in the hammock...

...playing guitar with daddy during night prayers...

...a trip to the zoo...

...getting messy making our first Jack-o-lantern.

Henry drew the shapes all by himself (with some cues re: layout) and mommy cut exactly on his lines. He wanted a mustache but there wasn't room so we settled on a goatee like Daddy's.

A trip to Vala's Pumpkin Patch on Halloween...

...always more fun with Cousins Alex and Andrew along.

And after a long afternoon at Vala's...

...Trick or Treating rounds to all the grandparents and their neighbors. Henry wanted to be Jesus for Halloween, and Charlie was a cranky dinosaur who wouldn't tolerate much fussing with hair and make-up. We ended up at Grandma Donna's with the boys running around in the cul de sac while the adult neighbors sat around a fire. At one point Andrew (the astronaut, or foil-wrapped baked potato, depending on who you talked to) ran up to the adults and exclaimed loudly, "Jesus wants to get the GUN!!" He and Alex were calling after him all night, "JESUS!! JESUS!!" Fortunately, I don't think he's developed a God-complex as a result.

And that Happy Autumn Day was our last day together as a family of four...The Eve of All Saint's Day, and of Benedict Marion's birth.
